Something Different

Because I never have enough things I’m doing, right? Recently, we had an outbreak of monsters and bad dreams around here. So I made some “emergency” dream catchers for the littles out of supplies I had laying around. I cut the ends off a circluar box and covered it in electrical tape, then used some leftover yarn to weave it.

Turns out, dream catchers are super addicting to make. So I’ve started making proper ones with metal rings and suede string. I like to make felt feathers, though, because real feathers get too messy and they get messed up easily.

Look for these to be hitting the shop soon!

Candy Colored – Illustration Friday

Prompt: Delicious

Materials: 4×4 watercolor tile, watercolor paint, micron pen size 03

I really liked how my umbrella picture turned out with drawing over the watercolor background, so I decided to do it again this week. And I went with candy because I’ve had a lot of it since Easter last week. Not this kind, but these are easier to depict in a line drawing than peanut butter eggs are.

Catching Up on Illustration Friday

I have been keeping a list of the Illustration Friday topics even though I havent been completing them on time recently. But now that the youngest kiddo I watch is napping two to three hours at a stretch, I’ve had a little more time to catch up. Especially on the ones I’ve chosen to watercolor, since I can take my pan watercolors along with me and do that anywhere. So I thought I would share those watercolor illustrations in a group today.

Materials for all pieces:

  • 4×4 watercolor artist tile
  • Watercolor
  • Micron pen size 03
