Slow and Steady

I’ve been working on this shawl for many months now. It’s a semicircle, which means it has to double the number of stitches every once in a while.

At the end of the last doubling, it increased the time it takes to complete each row to about an hour. So this is taking much longer than anticipated.

Case in point, I took the oldest boy to jump at a trampoline park for two hours this morning, and got exactly two rows finished. But at least I’m using up some really small yarn.

New Fabrics on Spoonflower

I have been cranking out pattern designs and putting them on my Redbubble shop pretty regularly the past month or so. But I’ve also been wanting to make plain fabric with them. This week I got in the proofs for four of them, and they are now for sale!

I am super excited for these, and already have a few more waiting to be proofed. Just trying to hold off on buying massive amounts of these fabrics to make things out of.

Stitching Along

I’ve been working lately on catching up on the Happy Little Stitch Along by 8 Bit Stitch (which is still going on if you want to join, highly recommended).

I started out keeping up really well, but as it’s gone along I ended up getting really far behind.

I think at some point I was about 4 clues behind.

Didn’t help that I keep running out of colors that the store also runs out of at the same time.

But I’m almost caught up now, only 1 clue behind.

I’m giving myself lots of time to work on it this week because I just finished up producing two audiobooks.

Also, really excited to be done with the clouds for a bit.

They are really pretty and all, but it’s a lot of large swaths of single colors.

So I’m ready to move on to areas with more bits of more colors.
