Introducing My Ko-Fi

As you may already know, a few months ago, I started a Ko-Fi page for my art and fiber projects. But maybe you have never heard of Ko-Fi and don’t know what it’s about, and I haven’t written about it here, yet.

Ko-Fi is a platform for artists and basically anyone to post their work and accept monetary support. This can be through one-time donations, monthly subscriptions, or even commissions. They have even recently started offering shops where you can buy directly from creators.

On my Ko-Fi, I post artwork, finished objects, and works in progress at least a day before I post to Instagram, but often even without posting to Instagram. I even have digital download knitting patterns and some stickers available right now, with more to come, soon.

I have downloadable coloring pages and downloadable art work, some for free and some as exclusives for supporters. I also have commissions open for some things like digital art, cross stitch patterns, and crocheted key chains.

Patchwork Throw Blanket Pattern

I’ve been working on creating a throw blanket pattern for the past few months. It’s gone through a few different iterations in that time. Started out using Caron Chunky Cakes in a lovely blue variegated color way for one of my grandmothers’ birthday:

I loved working with the yarn and was set to make another blanket for my other grandmother whose birthday is a few weeks later. Until I went to the store and there wasn’t any. I found the Caron Tea Cakes with enough balls in the same color way, so I thought I would just switch to developing the pattern in that yarn. You know, until someone informed me that yarn has been discontinued for years:

So I switched yarns again to one I know will be in stock, Loops and Threads Charisma, specifically the Big! version because it took fewer balls:

My larger screened iPad that I used for drawing and watching died last year. Once I finally got around to taking it to the Apple store, there was nothing that could be done to help it. So I decided to get the new iPad. You know, the one that works with the Apple pencil. But I already had a Bamboo pen that I had used on the old iPad and intended to continue using. Yeah, they don’t work on the new iPad.

Perfect marketing ploy, really, because I went out and got an actual Apple pencil. But it’s became my new favorite thing to do when I have some extra time. I’ve been sucked into making patterns using the Amaziograph app.

Haven’t quite gotten the hang of regular drawing on here, but I’m loving the patterns. All these patterns are going up on Redbubble.
