Just a little shoe study for this week. I typed “shoe” into Google and picked a bright one.

I really liked how my umbrella picture turned out with drawing over the watercolor background, so I decided to do it again this week. And I went with candy because I’ve had a lot of it since Easter last week. Not this kind, but these are easier to depict in a line drawing than peanut butter eggs are.
I have been keeping a list of the Illustration Friday topics even though I havent been completing them on time recently. But now that the youngest kiddo I watch is napping two to three hours at a stretch, I’ve had a little more time to catch up. Especially on the ones I’ve chosen to watercolor, since I can take my pan watercolors along with me and do that anywhere. So I thought I would share those watercolor illustrations in a group today.

I honestly could only think of the fable “The Tortoise and the Hare”. I know that I know way more than that, but I really cant think of any others. Plus, I like drawing turtles and rabbits.

I watch small children for a living. All boys. So when I saw the “mischief” prompt, I immediately thought of them running off to a room and closing a door. Because, you know, that usually indicates mischief is going on behind there. The chaos around the door is supposed to be coming from behind it.
